8th ESBA European Championship in Belgrade

Serbia’s capital, Belgrade, has been chosen as the host city for the 8th ESBA European Championship in 2025.

The championship will take place from June 14-22 2025, featuring a range of age categories for both men and women.

Renowned for its passion for basketball, Belgrade also boasts a rich history, vibrant atmosphere, charming old town, and scenic riverside promenade. Nestled at the confluence of two rivers, the city offers a perfect blend of culture, history, and sports.

European Championship Belgrade’25 Open allows participation for teams from all over the world.
1. The rules of the current Regulations apply for the Championship organized by LOC and ESBA.
2. Every player, coach, team manager, the Championship organizers and any official attendant shall fulfill and honor all and every ESBA Regulations and ESBA Rules.
3. The Championship management:
a. ESBA Board;
b. ESBA Director;
c. Local Organizing Committee (LOC);
d. Head referee;
e. Technical Committee and Jury Appeal;
f. Commissioner.

 

LIVE statistics will be available during all games of the Championship. The official game ball of the Championship will be announced at least 1 months before the Championship. Balls will be provided by Organizers.

 

Age categories are as follows:
– Women: 35, 40, 45, 50, 55 and 60 years and over;
– Men: 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 and 75 years and over.
Two younger players (younger but no more than one year) could be added to the following age categories: Men 70 and 75 years and over. For all other age categories, one younger player (younger but no more than one year) could be added. No player is allowed to play in more than one team and in more than one category at the Championship.
